Memaloose State Park, Oregon

Steller's Jay
Yesterday we stopped at a rest area in Oregon, which happens to be right next to Memaloose State Park. We decided we would walk down there and see what there was too see. We parked the truck and I looked out the window to see what I thought was a crow, boy was I mistaken! Simon got out of the truck and I was still putting on my boots, I take forever to get ready, he was standing by my door and said that they were Steller's Jay. So I quickly got ready and got out and started snapping pictures!

Then I saw a pair of Western Scrub-Jays, they were perched on a low tree branch and was able to get some good shots! We also spotted a few White-breasted Chickadees, but were unable to get any good pictures, as they move around too much!

Next we moved on down the path to the state park, lucky the booth was closed so no charge. We caught sight of Canada Geese, American Crows, Dark-eyed Juncos, Wood Ducks, Ospreys, Bald Eagle, and a few Swallows. There was not much else going on there, but got one new bird; Steller's Jay. That brings it up to 230!

We took some great pictures of the scenery and here's a couple of shots~
